My name is Liudmyla Maksymenko, and I am currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages at Westcliff University. I have an academic background in English language and foreign literature. I began my teaching career in 2010 in Ukraine as an English teacher in a public school. This experience helped me understand that teaching a language is not only about explaining grammar or vocabulary. It is also about helping learners develop the ability and confidence to express their ideas and communicate effectively.

Program Learning Outcomes

The Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs) represent the knowledge, skills, and professional competencies I developed throughout the MA TESOL program. Together, they reflect my growth from understanding second language acquisition theories to applying research-based instructional practices, designing effective lessons, integrating technology, conducting classroom research, and making informed instructional decisions. Each PLO contributed to my development as a reflective TESOL educator who values meaningful communication, learner support, and evidence-based teaching.
